Safety with social inclusion

Investments in education, culture and job creation prevent violence against youths

With the Living Youth Alive, the federal government has committed more than R$ 600 million for programs in health, culture, education, justice, income generation and professional training of civil servants. The program began in Alagoas, the state with the highest rate of black homicide victims. Then, between 2013 and 2014, it reached Paraíba, the Brasília periphery (municipalities in Minas Gerais and Goiás near the Federal District), the city of São Paulo, Bahia and Espírito Santo.
