No question. The PF received significant reinforcement during the administrations of President Lula and President Dilma - both with regard to human resources, as well as the structure of the Federal Police. Between 2003 and 2009, for example, the Federal Police Force was the fastest growing in the Ministry of Justice, adding more than 3000 new agents. In addition, in 2011, 2012 and 2013, more than R $ 400 million were invested in the PF. This allowed the Department to purchase of new cars, boats, helicopters, weapons, bullet-proof vests, equipment for special operations groups and for groups of bombs and explosives, information technology solutions, and the structuring of the International Police Cooperation Centre. Another fact that demonstrates the importance of the PF in the federal government investment by PT governments: in 2008 and 2009 alone, about US $ 160 million was spent on purchasing aircraft to modernize and strengthen public safety in the States.
